Trolley 5: A True Craft Brewery

The wait is finally over! An old favorite has turned into our new favorite hangout - Trolley 5’s doors are now open in our very own backyard located at 728 17th Avenue SW, or if you are familiar with the area, Melrose’s original home.

In the 1920’s, today’s Beltline was called the No.5 Trolley Line, hence how restaurateurs Ernie Tsu, Wayne Leong, and PJ L’Heureux naturally gravitated towards naming their new restaurant/brewery Trolley 5. Trolley 5’s goal is to bring the community together through great food, beer and friendship.

Not only are the staff incredible, but so is the food and the home brew! They offer a fantastic array of craft beers worth trying. A crowd pleaser is definitely Beers Derailed, a delicious pale ale. Be sure to sign up for a brewery tour, which includes a flight of beer and a beer for when you arrive! Click here to reserve a spot.

A few mouthwatering must-try snacks are the Kale & Artichoke Dip made of béchamel, garlic confit, scallions, aged mixed cheddar, fresh salsa and served with tortilla chips. Another sure bet from the kitchen is their creamy Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Pulled Pork made with aged white and orange cheddar, be?chamel and bacon streusel. If it is a night for sharing, try the For The Love of Meat,  piled high with Andouille sausage, Tasso ham, cabrito beef, pepperoni, double smoked bacon and mozzarella.

If you haven’t been to Trolley 5 yet, it’s time to call up your squad and head in for a pint!
