Come eat with the neighbours, Smith is surrounded by the best restaurants in the city.

A huge thank you to Avenue Magazine for hosting us at their 2017 Best Restaurant Awards. The evening featured Calgary’s top 10 restaurants and their mouthwatering signature dishes. With Smith located just off 17th Ave., we are in the epicenter of award winning restaurants. Check out some of our neighbours’ tasty restaurants below:

Anju – Modern Korean
Chef Roy’s most sought after dishes include
delicious crispy Gochujang wings and fried tofu with spicy sautéed kimchi and citrus aioli. The creative combinations of cuisines and flavours, with a hint of spice and seasonings have definitely put Anju on the map. Many of the dishes are served on small plates, designed to be shared family style.

Pigeon Hole – Postmodern sharing plates | Model Milk – Twist on Southern comfort food

Justin Leboe is the chef-owner of Model Milk & Pigeon Hole; these restaurants are physically attached and just steps from Smith. Pigeon Hole was named Canada’s second Best New Restaurant by enRoute Magazine. Our all-time favorites are Pigeon Hole’s iconic charred cabbage and the juicy Pine Haven Wagyu Ribeye at Model Milk. We promise you won’t leave hungry!

Native Tongues Taqueria – Authentic Mexican
If you want authenticity, come to Native Tongues and taste what everyone is talking about. There is nothing better than their slow-braised meats enveloped in corn tortillas and charcoal-fired fresh vegetables. Owner-operator Cody Willis’ passion for real Mexican street food is apparent in the food, margaritas and the atmosphere of his cozy restaurant. Tacos De Guisado and the Chilaquiles will make you say ariba ariba!

Now that your mouth is watering, it’s obvious why people are choosing to live at Smith. We are just walking distance to the best of the city.
